Lauris has more than 25 years of global professional experience in institutional investing, business management and family wealth facilitation. By recognizing that each client has a unique family logic in considering and making complex financial decisions, Lauris is better able to partner with families to create and sustain long-term financial well-being. He has taken his experiences in foreign countries, cultures and languages to working with cross-border families, or those that have financial roots in both the US and elsewhere. Lauris realizes that having ties to other countries can add complexity to financial planning, enabling him to better help clients through these situations.
While based in Boston, he has been fortunate to travel extensively, which has included 49 US states and 38 countries across 6 continents. This extensive time spent abroad – living, working and studying – has built upon a deep-seated passion to learn and experience new languages and cultures through travel, reading, and study.
Lauris graduated from Duke University with a degree in French and Political Science and has earned the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Investments and Wealth Institute, the Global Financial Planning Certificate (GFP) from the Global Financial Planning Institute, as well as the designation of Certified Health Savings Advisor (CHSA®) from Access Point HSA. Lauris is Board Chair for the Wellan Montessori School in Newton, Massachusetts as well as a Trustee of the Investments and Wealth Institute.
When he’s not helping clients with their financial profiles, Lauris plays competitive soccer, enjoys classic alternative 80’s music and, thanks in large part to the endless patience of his wife, has somehow learned to appreciate Impressionist art and good red wine.
